Football: Neymar donates $1.44 million to fight coronavirus



RIO DE JANEIRO (AFP) - Neymar has given US$1 million (S$1.44 million) to battle the effect of the new coronavirus in his local Brazil, as per TV arrange SBT. 

The Paris Saint-Germain star, the world's third-most generously compensated footballer, gave some portion of the cash to the United Nations Children's Fund (Unicef), and the rest to an altruistic store propelled by his companion Luciano Huck, a Brazilian TV moderator, the report said. 

The striker's press office declined to remark, saying: We never talk about gifts or sums.
