Ronaldinho requested to remain in Paraguayan prison

ASUNCION: Brazilian football legend Ronaldinho was in the slammer on Saturday in the wake of being captured for entering Paraguay on a phony visa, an adjudicator in Asuncion affirmed.

The double cross world player of the year and his sibling Roberto, who was confined with him, had gone through the night in the base camp of the Specialized Police Group in the capital city.

The pair showed up Saturday morning under the steady gaze of Judge Clara Ruiz Diaz at the Palace of Justice.

Investigator Osmar Legal said Ronaldinho and his sibling were being accused of utilizing bogus official records, and he mentioned that they be held in preventive confinement.

The appointed authority concurred. "They submitted a genuine demonstration that undermines the state," she stated, also, requested them held. Ronaldinho, victor of the Ballon d'Or prize in 2005, was permitted guests — one brought him covers and bedding—and was allowed to request supper from an inexpensive food chain.
